One week in office, and in a flurry of frenetic activity coming so fast as to be a blur, our former president, returned to office after a four-year hiatus, shows the American people how a real president fulfills his campaign promises with alacrity.
“How can u not embrace Making America Great Again?” one Bonners Ferry fan gushed. “Trumps first week has been Awesome, he is doing everything he promised to do, unlike the previous Administration, and I say Administration because we all know Biden was not able to Lead , however he did well at doing what he was told to do n say (well sometimes lol)”
Already, Donald J. Trump has sealed the southern border and he’s expelling illegal immigrants at a record pace like no one has ever seen before, ending Biden’s disastrous immigration policies, along with all the rest of the Biden-Harris disasters. He’s cancelled every policy harmful to America’s great farmworkers, torn down Biden’s censorship regime, straightened out military recruiting, retention and morale problems and ended troubles for Hispanic Americans.
Best of all, he’s ended the war in Ukraine, restored constitutional government and brought down the price of groceries.
No one has ever seen anything like it, mainly because none of it’s true.
That’s not to say he hasn’t been busy, just that the agenda he’s actually following isn’t that of the American people but that of a small fraction of them, primarily only one, himself, with sops thrown to his clique — MAGA, the white supremacists, the Christian nationalists, the Heritage Foundation and that book he’s never heard of … what was it? Oh, yeah, Project 2025. All of whom must be asleep because they most assuredly don’t want to be seen as “woke.”
In Week 1, Trump scored an impressive win in a major show of U.S. (read “Trump”) strength, forcing the president of Columbia, Gustavo Petro, a U.S. ally, to back down after he refused to allow military aircraft carrying migrants the proper shade of brown back whence they came.
Steely-eyed, Trump delivered his ultimatum — submit to my will or I’ll hit you with a tariff right where it hurts.”
Covering his cajones, Petro crumbled. an immovable object before an unstoppable farce.
“Today’s events make clear to the world that America is respected again,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt gushed in a statement late Sunday. “President Trump will continue to fiercely protect our nation’s sovereignty, and he expects all other nations of the world to fully cooperate in accepting the deportation of their citizens illegally present in the United States.”
What she failed to mention was that during Biden’s do-nothing tenure, Columbia had accepted 475 deportation flights, to include U.S. funded flights from Panama.
“A migrant is not a criminal and must be treated with the dignity that a human being deserves,” Petro said. “That is why I returned the U.S. military planes that were carrying Colombian migrants … In civilian planes, without being treated like criminals, we will receive our fellow citizens.”
Trump? Dignity?! For really? What was Petro thinking?
What Trump has done is put an end to the ridiculous concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion, unfair and expensive woke ideas that have no place whatsoever in a conservative white God-fearing MAGA society.
“And we have an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed of themselves — in many cases, to hate our country despite the love that we try so desperately to provide to them,” Trump proclaimed in a litany of woes, most made up or greatly exaggerated, in his inaugural speech. “All of this will change starting today, and it will change very quickly.”
He’s initiated the process of firing the evil and vengeful Trump-haters who persecuted him for years for doing nothing wrong, vindictively and with malice getting indictments and chalking up convictions before impartial grand juries and juries based on the leftist testimony of conservative Republicans who had done their best trying to serve both Donald Trump and the American people and at the same time live up to their oaths of office. He’s begun the firing of federal civil service workers who exhibit loyalty to the American people instead DJT, the new requisite for any aspiring public servant.
He’s ended U.S. participation in the 196-member Paris Climate Agreement and any and all other international climate change accords, putting America First (and alone and isolated) in international environmental agreements, paving the way for his well thought out “Drill, Baby, Drill” environmental conservation policy. He’s ended U.S. participation in the World Health Organization, reinstated the military service members discharged for patriotically disobeying direct orders from superior officers to uphold their dignity and inalienable right not to wear a mask during a global respiratory pandemic that hit hardest in the United States thanks to the erudite advice and unwavering, firm policies of Donald John Trump.
Thanks to his leadership, only 1.2-million U.S. families mourned the loss of a loved one to COVID rather than the 5,272 who died in China, the world’s most populous country and where education and the advice of experts are appreciated.
Our first convicted executor of the nation’s laws, now granted immunity from criminal prosecution that he may carry out the immense responsibilities of his office without having to fear being held accountable, Trump unconditionally affirmed his Republican party’s commitment to the rule of law and unwavering support of those who comprise America’s thin blue line, pardoning all but 14 of the 1,270 people convicted for their actions in responding to his invitation to participate in the peaceful protest January 6, 2021, where they would peaceably stop the legislators of both houses of congress from carrying out the constitutional duty of certifying the fraudulent election Sleepy Joe Biden so egregiously stole from him.
Those 14, the worst of the wurst, will rot in jail until they’ve served every second they owe — just kidding. The 14, nearing the end of their sentences, had their sentences commuted to time served.
And just to be safe Trump also in his first week petitioned a Delaware state judge to declare him immune from civil litigation in state courts while he’s president. Having saved himself from 34 felony convictions and prosecution on multiple indictments, the president is doubling down. If granted this petition, he can walk away from a multi-billion dollar civil suit against one of his social media platforms for four years, if not forever.
If Trump prevails, his co-defendants, White House deputy chief-of-staff Dan Scovino and Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee to be FBI director, will apparently have to fend for themselves.
Yes, week one of the new Trump administration has been busy, and among the constituents he recognizes, his focus on vengeance over substance is perfectly understandable.
“Mike Weland you are a sad individual, after what the democrats did to this man over the last 8 years he should be trying to (put) everyone of the crooked bastards behind bars,” one wrote. “If he does I will applaud him for it. If he becomes a dictator then I am happy to be on the right side. Our country was one election away from being a communist society. I say divine intervention happened. Cry in your blue koolade Mikey. Like you say, we will see.”
And none believe that deeply flawed but wide-spread sentiment more than does our humble and sorely put upon president hisself.
“Over the past eight years,” he whined fittingly in his second inaugural address, “I have been tested and challenged more than any president in our 250-year history, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. The journey to reclaim our republic has not been an easy one — that, I can tell you. Those who wish to stop our cause have tried to take my freedom and, indeed, to take my life. Just a few months ago, in a beautiful Pennsylvania field, an assassin’s bullet ripped through my ear. But I felt then and believe even more so now that my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again.”
Brings a big ol’ crocodile tear to me eye, it does, and while I do suspect he is seriously challenged, I doubt seriously if he ranks anywhere near the top among presidents of this nation who faced and overcame real challenges imposed by events rather than self-inflicted.
“Execute the law, THWACK!”
“Mr. …
“Execute the law, THWACK!”
“Ahem. Mr. President. sir, what are you doing?”
“I’m an executive … THWACK! Executing the laws ‘THWACK’ like no one’s ever seen before!”
“THWACK!”
“With a flyswatter, sir?”
